In the aftermath of the tragedy that claimed Babar and Haris' life, many have been inspired to take action. After learning that Babar and Haris had raised only half of their million dollar goal, Babar's childhood friend, Asher Aziz, donated the remaining $500,000 to ensure that Babar and Haris achieved their goal.
October 11, 2014 marked the 9th anniversary of Seeds of Learning's annual dinner. The board chose to dedicate the event as a tribute to the legacy Babar and Haris left behind. It was there that the founder and president of SOL, Azhar Khan, announced that a beneficent donor, moved to contribute after the accident, had donated $2.4 million dollars. That beneficent donor was another childhood friend and (fellow Sargodhian) of Babar's, Ejaz Shameem.
As a result of these two major contributions, and the many, many other supporters and contributors before, during and after Babar and Haris' journey, a number of Projects have been able to come into existence. Read on to learn about the projects Ashar Aziz, Ejaz Shameem and all of you have helped launch!

In donating the $2.4 million to TCF, Ejaz Shameem conditioned the donation on one thing: to build the new cluster of schools according to the wishes of Babar's wife and Haris' mother: Shamim ("Cookie") Babar. Her wish was to build the school in the village of both her and Babar's ancestors: Okara.
The $2.4 million will be used to build a cluster of 5 schools. Currently, land is being considered for the new site. Check back soon for more information on the progress of the school after Haris' brother, sister and mother visit potential sites in March of 2015!
